Generic EtherNet/IP Integration Across the Platform

This release introduces full end-to-end EtherNet/IP support across the platform, enabling seamless integration with industry-leading PLCs and controllers. It supports real-time data reading and writing, ensuring reliable device communication, live alarm generation, and historian data logging for consistent and high-performance industrial operations.

Tag Value Change–Based Historian Logging

The Historian module is enhanced with Tag Value Change–based logging, allowing data to be recorded whenever a tag value changes. This works alongside existing Interval, Bit Change, and Threshold Change triggers, enabling more precise event-driven data storage while optimizing database performance and storage utilization.

Advanced Heatmap Visualization Control

A powerful Heatmap Control has been introduced to transform the way process data is visualized. It enables intuitive graphical representation of both live and historical data, helping operators quickly identify trends, intensity patterns, and operational anomalies for faster analysis and smarter decision-making.

Dedicated EtherNet/IP Device Configuration Interface

This release introduces a dedicated EtherNet/IP device configuration interface within the Configurator, enabling seamless integration with EtherNet/IP-enabled controllers and field devices. It simplifies device addition, communication parameter setup, and tag mapping through a structured configuration environment, ensuring reliable connectivity and efficient live data acquisition across industrial systems.

Clone Functionality Across Design Components

A new Clone feature has been added for Templates, Tiles, Control Forms, Reports, Filters, and Dashboards. This significantly accelerates design workflows by enabling quick duplication, modification, and reuse of existing components while maintaining configuration consistency.

Enhanced Report Designer with Shape Support

Report Designer is upgraded with shape element support, enabling users to create more modern, structured, and visually rich reports. This enhancement improves report presentation, layout flexibility, and professional documentation output.

Advanced Data Filter for Set Value

Filter data can now be directly used in Set Value actions, enabling dynamic value updates based on filtered results. This improves automation flexibility, reduces manual handling, and supports more data-driven control logic.

Date Time Functions

Advanced Date Time functions are now available across the Query Designer and Calculation Engine, enabling more powerful time-based data operations and logic building. Users can perform complex date comparisons, time calculations, duration analysis, and timestamp transformations within queries and computed expressions. This enhancement improves reporting accuracy, event analysis, and time-driven automation by providing greater flexibility in handling both historical and real-time data scenarios.

EtherNet/IP Trending in Runtime

Runtime Trending Charts are enhanced to support EtherNet/IP data sources, allowing real-time visualization of live tag values. This improves process monitoring, operational analysis, and decision-making through dynamic graphical trends.

Advanced Date Time & Data Operation Enhancements

New Date Time functions have been added to the Query Designer and Calculation Engine, enabling more advanced time-based data operations. Alongside this, Set Value and Calculation editors are enhanced to support direct usage of filter data, allowing more dynamic, data-driven logic configuration and improved automation flexibility.

Filter Action & Data Usability Improvements

Filter Actions now support conditional execution, ensuring actions run only when specified conditions are met. Filter data usability has also been expanded, allowing filtered results to be directly utilized in downstream actions such as Set Value and Calculation Functions for more efficient workflow execution.

Communication Stability Enhancements

Internal communication handling has been optimized to ensure more stable and reliable data exchange with industrial devices. These improvements strengthen connectivity performance and reduce communication disruptions across the platform.

Configuration Reliability Improvements

Parameter validation and error handling mechanisms have been improved within the Configurator to minimize configuration mistakes and ensure more reliable system deployment and device setup.

Control & Runtime Performance Optimization

Overall control stability has been enhanced through internal optimizations, improving system responsiveness and execution reliability. Additionally, the Auto Report Scheduler has been upgraded to support multiple filters, enabling more flexible and precise report generation based on complex data conditions.

  • Enabled real-time EtherNet/IP data streaming to runtime applications, with integrated alarm generation and historical logging based on incoming device data.
  • Added write capability for EtherNet/IP devices, allowing direct data transmission from the platform to connected controllers.

🟡Improvements

  • Enhanced internal communication handling to ensure more stable and reliable data exchange with industrial devices.

🔵Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where the UI could freeze when stopping the Data Service while connected to an MQTT device.

Runtime — V2.5.0
